●Following Tsugunai (1984), this is Teresa Teng’s second Chinese-language album released on Taurus Records in 1986, now issued as a super high-end analog release, “100% Pure LP”! Centered on material from her hit-filled original albums Aijin (1985) and Toki no Nagare ni Mi o Makase (1986), it also includes covers of “MERRY X’MAS IN SUMMER” and “Yogiri no Hausu Manukan,” for which Teresa herself wrote the Chinese lyrics.
●“100% Pure LP” is a special Made-in-Japan product first launched in 2012, gaining worldwide attention as a pioneer of modern high-fidelity vinyl records. One defining feature is the use of “uncolored virgin vinyl,” completely eliminating carbon and other coloring agents that can affect sound in standard records. By using only pure polyvinyl chloride as the material, molding stability is significantly improved.
●Another key feature is the adoption of “metal master press.” This process omits the conventional steps involving a metal mother and stamper, pressing directly from the metal master to achieve overwhelmingly accurate groove formation. However, due to reduced durability, the number of pressings is strictly limited.
●Furthermore, instead of the standard 33⅓ RPM, this release uses 45 RPM—the format typically used for 12-inch singles. Although this results in a two-disc set due to shorter playing time per side, it allows for wider and longer grooves. Combined with higher rotational speed, this enhances stability and offers significant advantages in detail reproduction and richness of sound.
●The audio source is a newly transferred 96kHz/24bit WAV file derived from the original analog master tapes. The mastering is kept as flat as possible to preserve sound freshness and dynamic range, pursuing a natural sound faithful to the original recordings.
●By thoroughly refining every stage—from master source and vinyl material selection to pressing—“100% Pure LP” maximizes the true potential of vinyl records. While retaining the power and warmth unique to analog, it delivers a truly pure and clear sound, free from any muddiness or coloration.
