Madonna has spent the better part of two decades circling back to Confessions On A Dance Floor, so a full sequel almost feels inevitable. Confessions II reunites her with Stuart Price and picks up the same glitter-soaked house blueprint, though the language around this one turns towards rave mysticism and emotional release opposed to straightforward disco-pop escapism. Early tracks reportedly move between deep house pressure, acid references and full non-stop DJ-mix sequencing, with 'Bring Your Love' dragging Sabrina Carpenter into the middle of it all. There's something slightly funny about Madonna still treating the dancefloor like sacred ground at this stage of her career, though honestly, she's earned the right to speak about club culture with this much conviction.
