First released in 1985, Greatest Hits Volume I & Volume II is famous for hardening 12 years of American molten hard-knocks rocker Billy Joel's best-known tracks into one of the biggest-selling compilations in US history. Spanning 1973 to 1985 and arranged largely in chronological order, the double album boasts chart staples 'Piano Man', 'Just The Way You Are' and 'Uptown Girl', as well as two previously unreleased tracks, 'You're Only Human (Second Wind)' and 'The Night Is Still Young'. While some international pressings substitute 'Honesty' for 'Don't Ask Me Why', the set was Joel's first greatest hits release and remains his most enduring, clocking in at over 23 million units. Not bad.
