Experience an unparalleled sonic journey with this recording, meticulously derived from the original 2-inch multitrack masters and masterfully mastered on the iconic Ampex ATR102 ½-inch. The lacquer was cut on the Neumann VMS70 lathe, equipped with Neumann SX74 and Ortofon DSS821 cutting heads.

 This second work stems from a desire to write songs that are more accessible and easier to listen to. (This is a personal wish and hope of mine, addressed to those who purchase this record...)

Unlike "10/5" (my first solo album, also produced by Lorenzo Vella's BirdBox Records label), I decided to dedicate myself as much as possible to compositions that approached the typical style of American jazz standards. Hence the desire to seek immediate melodic lines and generally regular forms, all while striving to avoid banality by leveraging harmonic explorations and searching for non-obvious solutions.

From this need, the necessity arose to feature a soloist in the ensemble who would be consistently present on all recorded tracks, with the exception of "Come Saprei." Lorenzo Simoni, on alto saxophone, fully grasped the atmosphere and sounds I envisioned for this record. The rhythm section, formed by Marco Micheli on double bass and Simone Brilli on drums, is always a reliable foundation.
