Depressingly beautiful is probably what I'll describe Morita Doji's discography. Her whispering like singing voice is distinct and unique, instantly recognizable after you have heard it once. I first heard her song on the 1993 drama Kou Kou Kyoushi. The song was called Bokutachi no Shippai (literally translated as Our Failure) and it definitely still last an impression to me till now. Her first album Goodbye was Inspired by her friend's death. She would go on to release another 6 albums before retiring. There's nothing else quite like her even after all these years.
